| Established in 1990 in Huntington, WV, and with additional manufacturing technology centers in Charleston, WV Bridgeport, WV, and Rocket Center, WV, the Robert C. Byrd Institute for Advanced Flexible Manufacturing
(RCBI) is the leading manufacturing technology production and technical training facility in West Virginia. The mission of RCBI is to develop a quality, just-in-time, manufacturing supplier base for the Department of Defense (DoD) and commercial markets.
At each RCBI facility, manufacturers have access to state-of-the-market manufacturing equipment, new technologies, workforce development initiatives, Quality Certification preparation and an array of technical support that includes computer systems analysis and integration, machinist training, electronic commerce/EDI, distance learning and video conferencing capabilities.
The RCBI Bridgeport Manufacturing Technology Center conveniently located adjacent to the
North Central West Virginia Airport, primarily serves the north-central region's fast-growing aerospace industry. State-of-the-art production equipment and technical training are in place to meet the technology demands of manufacturers. Both full and part-time options of the RCBI Machinist Technology Program are available in Bridgeport.
