AeroSpace Center to receive federal funds Rep.
Alan B. Mollohan, D-W.Va., has secured $950,000 in
federal funds to help bring new activity to the
Mid-Atlantic Aerospace Complex at Harrison County's
Benedum Airport.
The money, which Mollohan put in the U.S. Department
of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) 2001 spending
bill, will be dedicated to the center's development,
marketing and training efforts. The bill was signed into
law Friday afternoon by President Clinton.
The Mid-Atlantic Aerospace Center has been involved
in the creation of 1,200 new jobs with an approximate
annual payroll of $45 million at the complex. |
