Mid-Atlantic Aerospace Complex names new executives
during election 02/21/02 The Mid-Atlantic
Aerospace Complex, the Harrison-Marion Regional
Airport's marketing and development arm, named a new set
of executives during its annual election that was held
Wednesday.
Richard T. Detrio, MAAC's president for the past six
years, stepped down from the position. He will, however,
remain on MAAC's board of directors. Detrio's position
won't exactly be filled. As part of MAAC's efforts to
redo its bylaws and restructure its hierarchy, the
majority of Detrio's former duties will be handled by a
chairman of the board.
Named to be the MAAC's initial chairman is Dr. Dan
Bradley. Bradley is the president of Fairmont State
College and has been in the area since February of 2001.
Buddy B. Clark was chosen as vice chairman. Clark is
the plant manager with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co.'s
subassembly plant in Clarksburg.
The secretary is Chuck Koukoulis. Koukoulis is the
president of KCI Aviation.
Dale McBride of FMW Composite Systems Inc., was
selected as the treasurer. McBride is FMW's president.
Jim Skidmore, who is MAAC's executive director, was
named president and chief executive officer. This is
Skidmore's second term as president, as he previously
served from 1990 through 1995.
"The restructuring is simply a way to prepare MAAC
for the future," said MAAC's director of training Terry
Moore. |
