MAAC Foundation is a new organization that was
established to promote public interest in and to educate
the community about aviation. Much effort will be
focused on a statewide education program where public
school children from kindergarten through twelfth grade
will be introduced to aviation. School children will
learn about various career opportunities in the
aerospace industry through field trips and career days.
Fast-track programs will provide specialized and focused
training to older students who are interested in
pursuing a career in aviation after high school. This
educational program not only will prepare students for
excellent career opportunities, but will also assist the
aerospace industry in developing a steady, trained
workforce to meet the growing demands of the aerospace
industry. MAAC Foundation is emphasizing the
importance of aviation by cosponsoring the Salute To
Veterans Airshow, which was held on September 9, 2001.
This show was presented for the education and enjoyment
of the public and to honor West Virginia D-Day Veterans.
MAAC Foundation is organized and operated as a
